Glendora POA Benefitting The Cynthia Hernandez Scholarship

The Glendora Police Officer Association representatives Matt Fenner and Russell Ziino presented Pat Nixon with checks totaling $5,000. Pat Nixon is from the Charter Oak Community Scholarship Foundation. These donations were received from the community to benefit the annual scholarship established in Cynthia Hernandez’s memory. Cynthia graduated from Chapter Oak High School in 1976 shortly before being reported to the Glendora Police Department as a missing person. These donations directly benefit Charter Oak High School students in funding their college educations.

Recently, the work of the Glendora Police Department, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, and the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office helped identify Cynthia’s remains and convict her murderer. Cynthia’s case was also featured on the latest episode of “On The Case with Paula Zahn.”
